Chi Li was thrilled to join 13D Research & Strategy in April 2023, having worked on the Investment side for various Family offices for 15 years.

Chi Li was born in Hong Kong and lived in Sabah, Malaysia. She completed her secondary school and college degree in the UK, graduating with a chemistry degree from Imperial College, where her final project was research into the Synthesis of Methane. She then moved into the financial industry and qualified as ACA with The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, under a training contract with Binder Hamlyn BDO.

After BDO, she joined as Head of Operation and Finance with the London subsidiary of Marusan Securities, headquartered in providing investment and financial services.

Over the years, Chi Li has gained substantial experience in accounting and taxation of investment in stocks, funds, and private equity.

Outside work, Chi Li enjoys swimming and loves teaching children and teenagers how to swim. She has taken part in the 15 KM relay team of the Clean Half Extreme Marathon Swim in Hong Kong. She is multilingual in Mandarin Cantonese Malay, English and French.
